This old pergola in New Haven, CT received a complete refinishing process to restore and refresh the wood. The project included power washing, sanding, Dark Walnut stain and polyurethane, bringing the pergola back to a rich, finished appearance.

Preparing the Old Pergola for Refinishing

Good wood refinishing starts with preparation. We power washed the pergola and then sanded the wood to prepare the surface for the new stain and protective finish.

Dark Walnut Stain & Polyurethane

After the preparation was complete, the pergola was stained in Dark Walnut and finished with polyurethane. The deeper wood tone highlights the pergola structure and gives the outdoor space a renewed appearance.
