Colonial Window Trim & Entrance Painting in Simsbury, CT
After the homeowner replaced the old windows on this Colonial home in Simsbury, CT, Fairfield Pro Painting prepared and painted all exterior window trim and the front entrance. We used Sherwin-Williams oil-based primer followed by Benjamin Moore Regal Exterior in a soft gloss finish to give these details a fresh, finished appearance.

Finishing the Details After Window Replacement
New windows can make the surrounding trim a natural next step in an exterior update. For this project, our work focused on preparing and painting the window trim throughout the house, along with the front entrance. The goal was a coordinated finish that complements the home’s traditional Colonial character.
The completed photographs show light trim framing the windows against the gray siding. Those clean outlines help the windows and architectural details stand out across the different elevations.
Surface Preparation and Oil-Based Primer
We prepared the trim and entrance surfaces before applying Sherwin-Williams oil-based primer. Preparation and priming were part of the painting work, providing a foundation for the finish coating.
